Small Group (Doing Life Together) Ministry
You were created for community! Life is meant to be shared and lived out in a group. George Gallup has said, "Americans are among the loneliest people in the world." In our culture craving a meaningful relationship, we strive to connect people to Christ and to one another to find authentic caring relationships in small group.
The vision of AKPC small groups (both general and focused) is to facilitate the grouping of 5-15 believers who develop authentic relationships, encourage one another as disciples of Jesus, release people to use their spiritual gifts, focus on the lost, and cultivate new leaders to plant other small groups, build communities and ministries.
These groups are to me marked by openness to the Holy Spirit and a commitment to both emotional and spiritual maturity. Our aim is that each member has a "Paul" (a mentor) and a "Timothy" (a mentee).
The small group leaders will model the vision and values of the larger AKPC body and regularly integrate Biblical principles. Most groups will include inductive Bible study, prayer, worship, fellowship, service and evangelism and fun.
Largely our small groups are divided by College student groups and Singles/Couples groups. Currently we have 4 small groups for college students and one group for single young adults and married couples. We meet at one of our member's house where we desire to.
If you are college students and interested in getting involved in small group, please contact Jihye Kang either by email chillyjihye@gmail.com or phone at 512.965.0916. And if you are single or married couple and desire to be connected with Single/Couple group, please contact Elder Roy Kim at roymkim@hotmail.com or 512.689.9583.
