Exodus 36-8-38

​The people had generously given towards the construction of this dwelling place—so much so that the leaders of the project asked Moses to command the people to stop giving. Now that the craftsman had all that they needed for the construction of the tabernacle they began the actual work. The remainder of the book will record the completion of this project.

This is a beautiful picture of how the people of God can come together to worship God and draw more people to him. There are skills which we all possess, resources which we have, and opportunities which come our way to bless God and others.

In collecting funds, resources, and the manpower to build the tabernacle for God, the community of believers back then recognized, realized, and responded to the reality that each of them had something to offer and in the same way, each of us have something to offer and contribute as well.

The sooner that each of us embraces our responsibility for this, the sooner our joy will expand and our reach extend further and faster.

Prayer: Father God, you have uniquely created each and every one of us with a gift. May we use our gifts to bless you and others so that ultimately you will be glorified, and many will be drawn to you. In Jesus’ name, amen.
